Maintenance personnel training and licensing fall under Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014: Annex III (Part-66) for licensing and Annex IV (Part-147) for approved training organisations, supplemented by the AMC and GM published by EASA.
The framework allows certain elements of theoretical training to be delivered remotely, under conditions. The arrangements (methods, tools, attendance control, supervision) must be described in the organisation's exposition and accepted by the competent authority.
Practical training and experience in a real maintenance environment remain essential. Virtual reality can support familiarisation without replacing practical training requirements.
Part-66 examinations are conducted by an approved Part-147 organisation or by the competent authority, under strict supervision and confidentiality rules. Our quizzes are practice tools, not official examinations.
This overview is deliberately general and is not regulatory advice. Always check the current version of the texts and the position of your competent authority before changing your training organisation.
